To possess and import veterinary biologics (i.e. veterinary vaccines and pathogens), you must first obtain a licence to possess veterinary biologics.

There are two types of licences which you can obtain:
Licence to possess veterinary biologics (commercial purposes)
Licence to possess veterinary biologics (research and development purposes)
A Licence to possess veterinary biologics costs $45 and is valid for one year.
Application procedures and conditions of licensing
Please log in to GoBusiness Licensing Portal to apply for a licence to possess veterinary biologics. An active CorpPass will be required to facilitate application. Approximately 21 working days is needed to process an application that is complete and in order.

You may proceed to apply for an AVS-issued import licence for each of your consignments after obtaining the licence to possess veterinary biologics.

Audit of premises
When applying for a new licence or renewing an existing licence to possess veterinary biologics, your storage or research premises must undergo our audit inspection, and your operations must be deemed satisfactory.
Our officers may also carry out surprise checks on your premises as and when inspections are deemed fit.
The fee for an inspection is S$63 per hour.
Restricted licence to inoculate
Local farms that require vaccination of their animals must apply for a restricted licence to inoculate (RLI).
