How to import, export, or transship laboratory animals

Importing laboratory animals 

1. Import from AVS-accredited facilities.
2. Fulfil our veterinary conditions for import.
3. Apply for an AVS-issued import licence and customs clearance permit.

4. Obtain a veterinary health certificate.
5. At least 5 days before arrival, make an appointment for border control inspection.
6. Undergo inspection and quarantine upon arrival in Singapore.

Exporting laboratory animals 

1. Check the destination country’s import requirements.
 2. Apply for an AVS-issued export licence and customs clearance permit.

3. Obtain a veterinary health certificate.
4. Send your laboratory animals for testing.
