Agritech Work Permit Scheme
Foreign worker employment for licensed farms
AVS-licensed farms qualify for the Agritech Work Permit Scheme. Foreign workers employed under this scheme are employed to carry out farming-related works only, such as animal breeding. Farms on this scheme must adhere to the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) work permit conditions.
To employ foreign workers under this scheme, the farm needs to:
Be registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
Have a CPF account with the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board.
Have a Work Pass account with MOM.

Under MOM’s Agritech Work Permit Scheme, farms can employ foreign workers from the following source countries:

Employment period
The maximum employment period of foreign workers allowed in Singapore are as follows

*In accordance with the Market-Based Skills Recognition Framework, MOM defines an R1 skilled worker as a work permit holder who has worked in Singapore for at least four years, and has a fixed monthly salary of at least S$1,600. An R1 skilled worker incurs a lower levy, and can be employed for a maximum of 22 years.
