Overview 

The Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster under National Parks Board (NParks), is inviting potential research collaborator(s) to submit proposals for grant funding under the research topic “Transforming Pet Ownership Behaviour: A Strategic Approach to Cat Licensing and Sterilisation”. The Research Collaboration Opportunity has been launched on 15 April 2026, and closes on 12 June 2026, 06:00PM, Singapore time (UTC +08:00). 

Funding support and duration

Projects may be awarded for a period 18 to 24 months, capped at $200,000 (inclusive of indirect costs).

Eligibility

All Singapore-based public research institutes (e.g., Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs)), companies, company-affiliated research laboratories or institutions and not-for-profit entities) are eligible to participate in the call.

Projects which are currently receiving other funding support will not be eligible.

Application 

All project proposals for this Research Collaboration Opportunity must be submitted using the following document: Project Proposal Template [Word Document, 41.2KB].

Applications are to be submitted using the prescribed Project Proposal Template, and in Microsoft Word format using the following naming format FP_[RCO Number]_[Name of Lead PI] (e.g. FP_2025001_Dr_John_Smith), to ALICIA_TAY@nparks.gov.sg and LIN_HUI_LING@nparks.gov.sg, by 12 June 2026, 06:00PM, Singapore time (UTC +08:00). Late submissions will not be entertained, and submissions received through other means will not be considered. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions may be considered disqualified.
